AUSTIN, Texas — After trailing by as many as 12 points into the fourth quarter and with OU's leading scorers in foul trouble, the Sooners rallied for a late run to force over time in Austin. OU kept a foot on the gas in the final period, ending the game on an 8-0 run to earn its first win over Texas on the road since 2013.
"What a privilege it is to coach this basketball team," said OU head coach
Sherri Coale. "These seven players just play their tails off and they play for each other, they believe and they're connected - they're just extraordinary. It's just a fun journey to be a part of right now."
