Sooners Intrasquad Set for Saturday

NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma men's gymnastics team will hold its annual red-white intrasquad scrimmage at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday at the Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center. The meet will be open to the public and fans can also keep up via the Oklahoma Men's Gymnastics social media platforms.

Pizza will be provided for everyone in attendance at the scrimmage.

Members of the 2022 Sooners will compete against each other on all six events, getting back into the groove of competition ahead of the start of the season in January.

From their 2021 squad, OU returns CGA All-Americans Vitaliy Guimaraes (AA, HB), Morgan Seyler (FX), Alan Camillus (SR) and Jack Freeman (HB). The Sooners completed the 2021 season as the MPSF Conference Champions and finished second at NCAA Championships.

OU begins its 2022 campaign in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the annual Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 15. The home slate will begin on Jan. 22 with Air Force visiting McCasland Field House in Norman. The Sooners will then travel to Palo Alto, Calif. for the Stanford Open on Jan. 29.
