OU Rowing Announces 2021-22 Schedule

NORMAN – The Oklahoma rowing team announced its 2021-22 schedulen Friday, a slate that has the Sooners competing in two events in the fall and four in the spring.

"We are excited about our schedule and being able to compete in both the fall and spring after not competing in the fall last year," said Oklahoma head rowing coach Leeanne Crain. "It is great to be back on the water and we are looking forward to kicking off the season in Oklahoma City."

The Sooners start their fall schedule Oct. 2 with the two-day Head of the Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. OU will participate in the event for the first time since 2019.

Following the season opening event, Oklahoma travels to Austin, Texas, for the Head of the Colorado on Oct. 30.

OU begins its spring season March 26-27 at the Crew Classic in San Diego, Calif., before competing in the Ohio State Invite in Columbus, Ohio, on April 9.

The Sooners conclude action in April with the Lake Wheeler Invite in Raleigh, N.C., April 22-23 in their final tune up prior to the Big 12 Championship, which will be held May 15 in Austin. In the 2021 Big 12 Championship, the Sooners recorded a fourth-place finish, totaling 91 points in the team standings. The 1V8 boat led the way for OU, recording a fourth-place finish, while the 2V8 registered a fifth-place finish.
