NORMAN – Oklahoma men's basketball head coach
Lon Kruger announced another addition to the Sooners incoming class in the signing of 6-5 guard Josh O'Garro on Monday.
A native of George Town, Cayman Islands, O'Garro joins Oklahoma from Santa Clarita Christian High School in Santa Clarita, Calif. He recently reclassified from the class of 2021 to class the of 2020 and began his OU coursework on Monday.
"Josh is a terrific young man that's excited to be here," said Kruger. "He's an explosive athlete who will come in with the expectation of redshirting, working hard to get bigger and stronger. We're really looking forward to him joining our program."
A four-star prospect according to 247Sports, the guard averaged 17.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals in 2019-20. He was a First Team All-State selection for California's Division 2 and was named to the All- CIF Southern Section First Team.
As a sophomore, O'Garro scored 13.2 points per game to go with 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals. He earned a spot on the All-CIF Southern Section Second Team and All-Heritage League Second Team.

Coming off a third-place finish in the Big 12, the Sooners expect to return over 70% of their scoring next season behind will-be seniors
Brady Manek (14.4 points, 6.2 rebounds) and
Austin Reaves (14.7 points, 5.3 rebounds).
