NORMAN — Head coach K.J. Kindler announced Tuesday the addition of Audrey Lynn and Sheridan Ramsey for the 2020-21 season.
"Sheridan and Audrey are athletes to the core," Kindler said. "They have strength, quickness and excellent instincts. Both are ambitious and driven. We are excited to add their athleticism to the team but even more thrilled to welcome their excellent character and magnetic personalities."
With the addition of Lynn and Ramsey, the 2021 freshman class will make up 38 percent of the Sooners roster next season. The duo will join Audrey Davis, Julianna Fehring, Bell Johnson, Katherine LeVasseur, Quinn Smith and Meilin Sullivan as the largest signing class under 14th-year head coach Kindler. Lynn and Ramsey will make up a quartet of gymnasts from the state of Oklahoma, joining Johnson and rising sophomore Jenna Dunn.
"We are so excited to add two Oklahomans to our roster for the fall," Kindler said. "The chance to compete for OU is a special one and we are honored that they chose to stay right here at home. Their families have been tremendously supportive throughout their careers and now they will have the opportunity to cheer them on in the LNC."

Lynn, a Norman native, is a level 10 gymnast out of Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy under the direction of Christian Ivanov.
"Audrey is outgoing and dynamic," Kindler said. "She has a very optimistic outlook, a thoughtful nature and clear leadership skills. Her current teammates describe her as determined and fearless! Audrey is extremely powerful and brings a unique skill set to OU. She performs a vault rarely seen in college that can be upgraded to a 10.0 start value. She has shown improvements every season and is still adding to her skill resume. I think Audrey has true grit. Her spirit and passion for the sport will take her a long way."
At state championships in 2019, Lynn finished in first on beam, second on vault and the all-around, third on bars and fourth on floor. At regionals, she finished seventh on beam and 12th on bars and the all-around.
Lynn is the daughter of Jim and Catherine Lynn and has two siblings: Garrett and Annika. At Oklahoma, Lynn plans to study nursing.

Ramsey, a native of Tulsa, Okla., is a level 10 gymnast out of Aim High Academy and will gradaute from Booker T. Washington High School in May.
"Sheridan grew up in a very athletic driven family," Kindler said. "Being from Oklahoma, she has watched the OU gym program her whole life. She has strong Oklahoma roots and a fan following! One of her main athletic strengths is clearly her natural power and quickness. She has a sky high bar release and strong tumbling. As the lone level 10 at Aim High, she is very excited to be surrounded by teammates who are working toward a collective goal. I think the comradery paired with her tremendous work ethic will stimulate impressive results in the gym."
At regionals in 2019, Ramsey had four top-10 finishes, placing 2nd on vault, third on floor, fifth on beam and eighth in the all-around. At state in 2018, she plaves first on vault and floor, while adding a second place finish on beam and third place finish in the all-around.
Ramsey is the daughter of Sterling and Rue and has three siblings: Cheldyn, Sterling and Shaun. At Oklahoma, Ramsey plans to study sports medicine.
