NORMAN – Oklahoma women's basketball will travel to Athens, Ga., to face Georgia in the 2020 SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Dec. 6 as both conferences unveiled the event's 10-game slate on Thursday.
The matchup will mark the sixth meeting between the Sooners and Bulldogs and the first since 2009. Georgia leads the all-time series 4-1.
Each of the Big 12's 10 teams will participate, while 10 teams from the SEC will take part. The format features five home games on campus sites for each conference per year.
Game tip times, along with television designations, will be released when available.
The inaugural challenge was held in 2014. The 10-team format began in 2016 with the two conferences splitting the challenge in 2017 and 2018. The Big 12 won the event in 2019 with eight of its teams collecting victories, including the Sooners, who upset No. 25 LSU 90-68 inside Lloyd Noble Center.
