Hybl Announced as Finalist for Dave Williams Award

NORMAN – Oklahoma men's golf head coach Ryan Hybl was selected as a finalist for the NCAA Division I Dave Williams Award, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday.
The Dave Williams Award is presented by Golf Pride Grips and honors the national coach of the year in NCAA Division I men's golf.
Hybl was the Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2018 and is coming off another successful season guiding the Sooners to two wins, three top-five finishes and one top-ten spot. In Hybl's eleven years at Oklahoma, the Sooners have claimed 25 team event titles and won the 2017 NCAA Championship.
Additionally, Hybl led the team to the top of the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll rankings twice during the 2019-20 season.
The Sooners head coach is among five finalists for the award. The list includes Michael Beard of Pepperdine, Mark Crabtree of Louisville, Jerry Haas of Wake Forest, and Greg Sands of Texas Tech.
