The Year That Was: Women's Gymnastics

March 23, 2020 | Women's Gymnastics

When the 2020 season began, the reigning national champions had the goal of going back-to-back for the second time in school history. The senior class was looking to go out with three national titles and one senior in particular had her sights set on breaking the all-time perfect 10 record and winning a third-consecutive individual NCAA all-around title.

After a Thursday afternoon practice, the team was informed that its season had come to an abrupt end and its meet six days earlier was its last. Though the team, staff and fans will never know if Sooner Magic would have carried OU to another title, we're focusing on some of the highlights, records and memories of the 2020 season.
