NORMAN ā The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team is ranked No. 1 in the nation for the ninth consecutive week. Beginning last week, rankings are now determined by national qualifying scores (NQS).
NQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. NQS scores are used to determine seeding for NCAA regional competition at six campus sites on April 2-4.

NQS: 198.080
OU leads the way with an NQS of 198.080, followed by Florida with a mark of 197.880. UCLA and Utah remained in third and fourth with marks of 197.425 and 197.335, respectively. Michigan is the newcomer to the top five this season with a 197.285.
Additionally, the Sooners rank in the top three on all four events, including the top spot on vault and bars with a 49.585 on vault and a 49.550 on bars. The Sooners rank second on beam (49.520) and third on floor (49.505).
Seven Sooners hold 15 individual rankings, including a nation-best five on vault and three in the top 10.
Senior Maggie Nichols ranks first on vault (9.980), followed by junior Anastasia Webb in second (9.930. Senior Jade Degouveia is eighth on the event (9.910), while sophomore Allie Stern comes in at No. 12 (9.895). Junior Evy Schoepfer rounds out the Sooners in the top 25 at No. 25 (9.875).
Four Sooners are ranked on bars with three in the top 10. Nichols sits at No. 2 (9.960) while Degouveia and freshman Ragan Smith are tied for sixth (9.930). Webb is tied for 18th with an NQS of 9.890.
Nichols, Smith and Webb are all ranked on beam, along with junior Carly Woodard. Nichols is seventh (9.935) with Smith and Webb tied at No. 9 (9.925). Woodard is 18th with a mark of 9.905.
Webb is the lone Sooner ranked on both floor and in the all-around. The junior is tied for ninth on floor (9.920) and fifth in the all-around (39.620).
The Sooners are back at home Friday for a top-five matchup with No. 5 Michigan. The meet is slated for a 7:15 p.m. start. The three members of the senior class, Degouveia, Nichols and Bre Showers, will be honored in a post-meet ceremony.
