AUSTIN – Taylor Robertson made history once again as she sank her 123
rd 3-pointer of the season to claim the Big 12 single-season record as OU fell to Texas 86-76 Saturday in Austin.
With the loss, OU moves to 12-16 and 5-11 in Big 12 play. Texas improves to 18-10 on the year and 10-6 against the league.
Robertson tied the Big 12 single-season 3-pointers record on her first shot of the game, then surpassed the mark during the third quarter with her second made 3. The previous record of 122 was set by Kansas State's Laurie
Koehn during the 2002-03 season.
Texas out-shot the Sooners 47.5% (29-for-61) to 38.6% (27-for-70). Texas' Celeste Taylor led all scorers with 27 points.
Madi Wiliams led the way for the Sooners with 25 points and pulled down seven boards. Williams' 25 were good for her sixth game this season with 20-plus points.
Freshman
Gabby Gregory chipped in 21 points and shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. Robertson finished the night with 10 points and shot 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
Ana Llanusa also added 10 points in the contest.
Mandy Simpson led OU in rebounds as she pulled down 11, including five offensive boards.
