NORMAN ā The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team is ranked No. 1 in the nation for the eighth consecutive week. This week marks the first time this season that rankings have been determined by national qualifying scores (NQS).
NQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. NQS scores are used to determine seeding for NCAA regional competition at six campus sites on April 2-4.

NQS: 197.930
OU leads the way with an NQS of 197.930 followed by Florida with a 197.690 NQS. UCLA stayed in third with an NQS of 197.335 while Utah moved to fourth with 197.200 NQS. LSU jumped into the top five with an NQS of 197.165.
The Sooners mark of 197.930 is the highest opening NQS score in program history. OU has been ranked No. 1 in the first NQS ranking of the season for the last six seasons.
Additionally, the Sooners rank in the top three on all four events, including the top spot on vault and bars with a 49.550 NQS on both events. The Sooners rank second on beam (49.470) and third on floor (49.465).
Eight Sooners hold 16 individual top-25 rankings, which are also determined by NQS beginning this week.
Junior Anastasia Webb is ranked in the top 10 on three events and the all-around. Webb is fourth in the all-around with an NQS of 39.595. Her highest ranking in vault where she is second in the nation (9.930). Webb is tied for eighth on floor (9.9115), ninth on beam (9.915) and 19th on bars (9.885).
Senior Maggie Nichols is ranked on three events, coming in first on vault (9.970) and bars (9.960) and 10th on beam (9.910).
Senior Jade Degouveia and freshman Ragan Smith are each ranked on a pair of events. The pair are tied for fifth on bars (9.930). Smith is tied for sixth on beam (9.920) and Degouveia is tied for 10th on vault.
Sophomores Allie Stern and Olivia Trautman and juniors Carly Woodard and Evy Schoepfer are each ranked on one event. Stern is tied with Degouveia for 10th on vault while Trautman is tied for 25th on bars (9.915). Woodard comes in at No. 16 on beam with a 9.895 NQS while Schoepfer is No. 19 on vault (9.875).
