NORMAN – A total of 31 Oklahoma baseball games have been selected for national or regional broadcast for the 2020 season, it was announced Wednesday.
The Sooners will be televised on FOX Sports Oklahoma 11 times and ESPNU for three games while seven others will be shown on SoonerSports.tv. ESPNU will nationally televise OU's road games at TCU on March 29, Texas Tech on April 10 and Oklahoma State on April 19. An additional 10 road contests are scheduled for regional television on broadcast on the Big 12 NOW on ESPN+ channel.
Oklahoma's first televised home game of the season will be its Big 12 conference opener against Texas on SoonerSports.tv, with the final two games of the series set for FOX Sports Oklahoma. FSOK will also have games against Baylor (April 4), Sam Houston State (April 25) and West Virginia (May 16) while FSOK+ will air games against Baylor (April 3), Wichita State (April 14), Oklahoma State (April 17), Kansas State (May 9) and West Virginia (May 14).
An additional seven SSTV broadcasts will be premium SoonerSports.tv features, which will be complete multi-camera broadcasts with on-air talent. Those contests include: Baylor (April 5), Oral Roberts (April 7), Sam Houston State (April 24 and 26), Kansas State (May 8 and 10) and West Virginia (May 15).
The remaining 11 home games through February and early March, including Oklahoma's home opener against Texas Southern (Feb. 18-19), will be streamed on SoonerSports.tv with audio provided from the Sooner Sports Network's radio call.
From the press box at L. Dale Mitchell Park, veteran Sooner Sports personality Chad McKee will anchor the coverage as the television play-by-play voice of the Sooners. He will be joined by Major League Baseball veteran and former OU pitcher George Frazier, who will also get spot duty on play-by-play assignments.
