NORMAN — The Oklahoma baseball team returned to the diamond Tuesday hitting the field for the first practice of the fall at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

Levi Prater,
Jason Ruffcorn,
Ben Abram and
Wyatt Olds, first baseman
Tyler Hardman, catcher
Brady Lindsly, shortstop
Brandon Zaragoza, all of whom earned All-Big 12 recognition last season.
Cavalli, a first-team All-Big 12 selection last season, played with the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. Prater, who played for the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape Cod League, and
Jason Ruffcorn, who was an 18th round pick in the MLB Draft, both earned second-team Big 12 honors last year. Abram, a member of the Canadian National Team, and Olds were named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team. Hardman, the Cape Cod League Home Run Derby champion, Lindsly and Zaragoza earned Big 12 honorable mention for the 2019 season.
Oklahoma welcomed 21 newcomers to the roster at the start of the fall semester. The incoming class includes 13 freshmen and eight transfers, representing four states. Seven of the new Sooners hail from Oklahoma, with 10 more coming from Texas, three from California and one from Illinois.
Fall workouts will run through mid-October. All OU fall practices take place at L. Dale Mitchell Park and are open to the public.
