NORMAN -- The Oklahoma men's golf team will begin the 2019-2020 season ranked No.7 in the preseason Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.Ā
The Sooners drew 415 points in the preseason voting topping last year's ranking by 14 points. OU found themselves in the top-10 for the fourth consecutive time under head coach

Texas was ranked No. 1 in the poll after finishing as the runner-up at the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State and Vanderbilt rounded out the top five.Ā
The Oklahoma men's golf team also came in at No. 5 in the Golfweek Division 1 Men's Preseason Rankings. Texas, Arizona State and Georgia Tech were also included in this top five list with the addition of Pepperdine.Ā
Sooners return All-Americans
Quade Cummins,
Garett Reband and
Patrick Welch to the roster. The trio was a part of last year's squad that advanced to match play competition at the NCAA Championship for the fourth straight year.Ā
OU opens the season on Wednesday at the Carmel Cup in Pebble Beach, Calif.
