NORMAN – Five members of the top-ranked Oklahoma women's gymnastics team combined to capture a conference-high eight spots on the All-Big 12 Gymnastics team, the league announced Wednesday.

This season marks the 12th straight year that the Sooners have led the conference in All-Big 12 selections and the 12th consecutive season that the Sooners have earned at least eight all-conference selections.

The All-Big 12 squad consists of the conference gymnasts with the top three highest national qualifying scores (NQS) on each event in addition to the top two all-around gymnasts.

Senior Brenna Dowell led all honorees with three selections, bringing her career total to nine. Dowell was recognized in the all-around, vault and floor. The senior finished her career being honored on vault in all four seasons of competition, while picking up three floor honors, one bar honor and one all-around recognition.

Junior Maggie Nichols earned a pair of accolades, receiving a spot on the bars and beam listings for the third consecutive season. Nichols now has 12 total All-Big 12 honors.

Senior Nicole Lehrmann, sophomore Anastasia Webb and freshman Olivia Trautman were also recognized by the conference. Lehrmann earned her fourth consecutive bar honor, while Webb picked up her first recognition on beam. Trautman earned her first career honor with recognition on floor.

This weekend, postseason competition begins for Oklahoma as it hosts the Big 12 Championship, scheduled for 1 p.m. CT on Saturday inside Lloyd Noble Center.
