NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Two high-powered offensive performances lifted the No. 2/2 Oklahoma softball team to a pair of victories at the CSUN/LMU Tournament on Friday, a 10-0 win over Dartmouth and a five-inning, 11-0 win over CSUN at Matador Diamond.

The Sooners (24-2) have now shut out 13 opponents this season and earned 11 run-rule wins. Additionally, Oklahoma has scored at least 10 runs in each of its four games at this weekend's event.

"I thought top to bottom, today was very good," OU head coach Patty Gasso said. "They looked very good on the mound. The defense made solid defensive plays. Top to bottom, the lineup hit the ball well. There was very good base running. I thought it was a good, very complete game."

Against the Big Green (2-9), the Sooners registered a season-high 17 hits, including nine for extra bases.

Senior Sydney Romero set a career high with four hits, including two doubles and a home run, to register her 12th game this season with multiple hits. She also scored three runs and drove in two, marking her fifth multi-RBI performance this year.

Falepolima Aviu matched a career high with three hits while Nicole Mendes, Grace Green and Grace Lyons each tallied two. Caleigh Clifton and Sami Skelly both joined Romero in driving in two runs.

Oklahoma took the lead in the fourth as Green led off the inning with a home run to left, marking the fourth homer of the freshman's season.

Romero followed suit in the fifth, opening the frame with a homer to the same spot. It was her eighth home run of the season and the 42nd of her career.

Aviu then hit her first career triple before Mendes doubled to right to plate Aviu.

With the bases loaded, Skelly entered the game to pinch hit. She singled up the middle to drive in Mendes and Green, good for her second multi-RBI hit in as many days.

After Romero started the sixth with a double, Clifton drilled her fifth homer of the season to left field.

In the seventh, Jocelyn Alo doubled off the center-field wall to drive in Eliyah Flores from first. Romero then hit her second double of the game to plate Alo. Aviu drove Romero in with a single up the middle.

In the circle, junior Mariah Lopez improved to 10-1 on the year. She scattered one hit while striking out six and walking one over 4.2 innings.

Classmates Mendes and Parker Conrad combined on the Sooners' 12th shutout of the year, tossing 1.1 and 1.0 innings, respectively.

Against the host CSUN (12-13), Aviu went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored, marking her fourth game with multiple hits and fourth game with multiple RBIs this season.

Romero had another multi-hit performance, finishing 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. She extended her hitting streak to 12 games.

Green and Lynnsie Elam both tallied a pair of RBIs against the Matadors, while Clifton went 2-for-2 with three runs scored.

The Sooners got on the board in the top of the second. Clifton led off with a single before stealing second and reaching third on an error. Green drove her in with an infield grounder.

In the second, OU scored three more runs on four hits. After hitting her first career triple in the first game, Aviu drilled her second in the afternoon matchup to plate Romero from first.

Aviu reached home when Shay Knighten drove a double into the left-center gap. Lyons later doubled to the same location to bring Clifton home.

Romero led off the fifth with her second home run of the day, a shot to left to mark the ninth of her season and 43rd of her career.

With two runners in scoring position later in the inning, Green singled through the left side, plating Aviu. The Sooners then loaded the bases, an opportunity seized by Elam, who singled up the middle to score Green and Clifton.

After Lyons scored on an infield grounder, Oklahoma once again loaded the bases. Aviu capitalized with a single to right that plated Mendes and Elam.

Juniors Shannon Saile and Lopez combined on the shutout. Saile moved to 4-1 on the season, scattering three hits and striking out eight over 4.0 innings of work.

Lopez closed the final inning, retiring all three batters she faced.

Up next, the Sooners wrap up the LMU/CSUN Tournament on Saturday with a matchup against Illinois at 11 a.m. CT in Los Angeles.
