NORMAN – University of Oklahoma junior Tanner Justus was named MPSF Gymnast of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Justus, an All-American on vault in 2018, recorded a career-high 84.100 all-around score to help the Sooners put up an NCAA-season high 425.700 team score, topping Illinois' 415.700. Justus registered a career-high 14.000 on still rings, a season-high 13.650 on pommel horse and tied his season best on vault with a 14.800.
Additionally, Justus added solid scores on floor (14.250), high bar (13.800) and parallel bars (13.600) to assist the Sooners to season-high scores on floor (72.400), rings (71.750), parallel bars (69.950) and high bar (71.150).
This is the first career MPSF weekly honor for Justus.

The Sooners travel to Annapolis, Md., for the first time in program history to face off against Navy on Saturday, March 16. The Midshipmen rank 10th in the latest Road to Nationals rankings. The meet is slated for a 1 p.m. CT start at Macdonough Hall on the campus of the U.S. Naval Academy.
