NORMAN – With a road victory over No. 7 Michigan on Saturday, the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team extended its lead at the top of the rankings with a national qualifying score (NQS) of 198.025.

OU's weekend score of 198.200 bumped its NQS to over a 198 this season as the Sooners earned a No. 1 ranking for the 62nd time since the start of the 2015 season.

The Sooners are the only program to ever record back-to-back-to-back seasons with an RQS of 198 or better. With just two regular season meets and Big 12 Championships remaining, the Sooners will once again carry an NQS of 198 into the postseason.

NQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be from road contests. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. NQS scores are used to determine seeding for NCAA regional competition at six campus sites on April 4-6.
