OU to Play in 2020 Diamond Head Classic

NORMAN – Oklahoma men's basketball will be spending its 2020 Christmas in Hawai'i.
OU is one of eight teams selected to participate in the 2020 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawai'i. The tournament will take place Dec. 22, 23 and 25, 2020 and also feature Arizona State, Hawai'i, Saint Mary's, San Diego State, Seattle, Temple and Western Michigan.
The Sooners aim to defend their crown, as Oklahoma won the 2015 edition of the Diamond Head Classic with victories over Washington State, Hawai'i and Harvard.
Half of the field participated in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, including OU, Arizona State, Saint Mary's and Temple.
The Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic will feature 12 games over three days of competition. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through the bracket. The two teams that remain undefeated throughout will face off in the championship game on the final day of the tournament.
