LAWRENCE, Kan.  Kansas' second-half comeback downed Oklahoma on Wednesday as the Sooners fell 88-79 to the Jayhawks inside Allen Fieldhouse.

OU (5-14, 1-7 Big 12) led by two at the half and jumped out to a 11-point advantage early in the third quarter, but foul trouble and turnovers doomed the Sooners down the stretch. Kansas (12-7, 2-6 Big 12) scored 33 points off of OU's 25 turnovers and took advantage at the free throw line, knocking down 32-of-34 attempts (.941) at the stripe.

The Jayhawks outscored OU by a 46-35 margin in the second half. With the game tied at 74-74, Kansas closed the game on a 14-5 run to pull away.

Shaina Pellington led the Sooners with 25 points off the bench. The sophomore was 8-of-15 from the field and 8-for-11 at the foul line, while adding seven rebounds and four assists. Pellington has scored at least 20 points five times this season and has 12 20-point scoring games in her career.

Ana Llanusa finished in double figures with 16 points, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers and hitting 6-of-7 at the line. Mandy Simpson added 10 points and recorded a team-high eight rebounds. Taylor Robertson and Jessi Murcer each chipped in nine points apiece.

Kansas finished with three 20-point scorers as Christalah Lyons led the Jayhawks with 23 points, finishing 7-of-15 from the floor and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.

Kylee Kopatich and Austin Richardson both scored 20 points. Kopatich was 10-for-10 at the free throw line and added a team-high five steals, while Richardson hit four 3-pointers and recorded seven rebounds. The trio combined for 66 of KU's 88 points.

OU outshot the Jayhawks, .481-.387, from the field and .500-.267, from beyond the arc. For the fourth straight game, the Sooners were above 70 percent at the foul line, posting a .792 (19-of-24) clip at the stripe. Kansass' 32 made free throws were the most by a team in the Big 12 this season.

OU finished with a 41-29 advantage on the glass and dished 21 assists, while the Jayhawks recorded 13 steals.

The Sooners host No. 12/14 Texas on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT inside Lloyd Noble Center. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest.
