NORMAN – With a seventh consecutive MPSF championship under its belt, the Oklahoma men's gymnastics team will head to the NCAA Championships as the No. 1 ranked program.

The national rankings are now determined by NCAA National Qualifying Average (NQA) with the postseason underway. NQA takes a team's four highest scores, counting no more than two home meets. The highest of these four scores is replaced with the conference championship meet score. These four scores are averaged to determine NQA.

The Sooners remain in the top three on five of six events, retaining their No. 1 ranking on parallel bars (69.475) and high bar (69.075). They posted a strong 70.300 on still rings at MPSF Championships, which helped it move into the top spot on the event (69.863). OU remains second on pommel horse (67.725) and third on vault (71.900).

After claiming five individual conference titles with a fantastic 86.900 last weekend, Yul Moldauer stayed in the top 10 on three events. He retained the top spot on still rings (14.750) and on parallel bars (14.983) after posting a 15.050 and a 14.950, respectively. The junior ranks sixth on pommel horse with a 14.338 average.

Levi Anderson moved into third in the all-around rankings (81.825) with his 80.700 at the MPSF Championships. The junior also ranks fourth on high bar (14.213) and 11th on parallel bars (14.013).

Genki Suzuki, who scored an 80.900 in his second all-around performance of the season, owns the top high bar average (14.400) for the third consecutive week and is ninth on pommel horse (13.800) and 16th on parallel bars (13.925).

On still rings, Reese Rickett climbed into fifth (14.188) and Jake Maloley ranks 10th (14.025). Collyn Kellogg, who tied for second last weekend with a career-high 14.150, is 17th in this week's rankings.

Hunter Justus ranks sixth on vault (14.638) after his second-place finish on Saturday while MPSF vault champion Tanner Justus is 11th on the event (14.550).

Gage Dyer, who finished tied for second at the MPSF Championships on floor with a 14.000, sits just outside the top 10 on the event at 13th (14.075).

A third-place finisher last weekend, Brian Schibler ranks 15th on pommel horse with a 13.738.

OU turns its attention to the NCAA Championships as it looks for its fourth straight title and 12th overall. Only two other men's gymnastics programs, Illinois from 1939 to 1942 and Nebraska from 1979 to 1982, have won at least four NCAA titles in a row. Championship weekend starts Friday, April 20 with the preliminary round at UIC Pavilion in Chicago, followed by the finals the next day.
