LAST TIME THEY MET

The Sooners split a pair of games with the Mavericks in 2014. The first matchup was played at Globe Life Park, home of the Texas Rangers. The Sooners would take the game in a 10-inning affair by the score of 3-2. After the Mavericks managed to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth, Taylor Alspaugh belted the first pitch of the 10th inning over the wall in the right field corner to guide the Sooners to the win. Ralph Garza Jr. earned his first victory of the season and Sheldon Neuse went 4-for-5 and scored a pair of runs. In a home game in Norman later in the season, the Sooners staged a late rally, but fell by a score of 6-5. Robert Tasin gave up just two runs and was the losing pitcher in a 4.1-inning start. Oklahoma registered eight hits; all singles.
