NORMAN -- The University of Oklahoma volleyball team hosts its annual spring tournament on Saturday, April 21 at McCasland Field House. The four-team, round-robin competition begins at 10 a.m. with the Sooners against UCO.
Oklahoma, which completed its first spring competition date in Kansas City over this past weekend, also hosts Wichita State and Arkansas on campus. The tournament is open to the public with doors opening at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
The Sooners, who began spring practice on March 5, return 10 letterwinners from last season, including senior outside hitter Alyssa Enneking (League City, Texas); an All-Big 12 First Team selection. Along with Enneking, OU's roster features senior setter Audrey Alford (Norman, Okla.), senior outside hitter Madison Drescher (Southlake, Texas), and sophomore middle blocker Paige Anderson (McKinney, Texas) from last year's starting lineup. Oklahoma also brought in a pair of transfers for the 2018 spring semester. Sophomore setter Kylee McLaughlin (Carrollton, Texas) was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year at Oregon State last fall and sophomore defensive specialist Keyton Kinley (Lexington, Ky.) played 19 matches on the back row for Tennessee in 2017. First-year head coach Lindsey Gray-Walton was hired as the fifth coach in program history on Dec. 24, 2017.
