NORMAN – Oklahoma wrestling finished the weekend at 1-1 following a 31-6 loss to No. 4 Oklahoma State on Sunday at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
Redshirt freshman Justin Thomas used two takedowns to earn a win at 157 pounds in his first career Bedlam dual, defeating Oklahoma State's Jonce Blaylock by decision, 7-2.
The win gave the Santa Ana, Calif., native nine dual wins this season.
Oklahoma senior Yoanse Mejias, ranked No. 10 at 174 pounds, capped his final Bedlam dual with a 9-3 win by decision over Hestin Lamons.
Mejias' victory moved his dual record to 14-2 on the 2017-18 campaign.
The loss followed the Sooners' 19-16 victory over Edinboro on Saturday in which OU's four seniors went 4-0 on Senior Night against the Fighting Scots. Sunday's Bedlam defeat dropped the Sooners to 8-10 on the season.
Oklahoma will conclude its regular season next Friday at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., before prepping for the Big 12 Championships in Tulsa, which run March 3-4.
