Robertson Repeats as Big 12 Freshman of the Week

NORMAN – Oklahoma guard Taylor Robertson earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, the league office announced on Monday.

The McPherson, Kan., native averaged 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game last week. The freshman scored 20 points in the Sooners' 93-56 win over Northwestern State last Thursday, knocking down six 3-pointers while adding in four rebounds and five assists.

Robertson tied for the team lead with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting against No. 21 South Florida on Sunday.

Robertson has made 18 3-pointers in the first three games of the season, which ranks as the second-most by a Sooner to begin a season. She has hit at least four 3-pointers in each game this year and is shooting .514 from deep.

The freshman is tied for first nationally with Louisville's Asia Durr in 3-pointers per game, averaging 6.0 treys per contest. Robertson ranks second in the Big 12 with 20.7 points per game.

The Sooners open the Junkanoo Jam on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. CT against UAB. The game will be streamed live on FloSports.
