NORMAN — Former Sooner Tina Taylor (Ramos) was inducted to the Connors State College Athletics Hall of Fame over the weekend.

At Connors State, Taylor was a second-team NJCAA All-American and averaged 14.6 points per game as a sophomore and was touted as one of the top JUCO players in the country. She also averaged a double-double during her final season at Connors State with 12.4 rebounds per contest.

Taylor played two seasons at Oklahoma after transferring from Connors State prior to the 1995-96 season. She played one year for OU head coach Sherri Coale, helping to lay the foundation for a program that's made 19 consecutive NCAA Tournaments, appeared in three Final Fours and won 10 Big 12 titles.

As a senior, Taylor averaged 12.3 points per game and started 25 contests. She led the Sooners in rebounding during the 1997-98 season with 8.7 rebounds per game, while posting a .436 shooting percentage. She averaged 13.3 points per game during her junior year, before suffering a season-ending injury midway through the 1995-96 season.

Taylor graduated from the University of Oklahoma and returned to her hometown of Vian, Okla., where she coached high school basketball and track and field.
