NORMAN — Oklahoma dropped a Bedlam thriller to No. 24/RV Oklahoma State, 70-67, on Saturday afternoon inside Lloyd Noble Center.
Four Sooners (9-10, 4-4 Big 12) finished in double figures, led by freshman Shaina Pellington's 26 points. Senior Vionise Pierre-Louis recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 14 points and a career-high 20 rebounds, the most by an OU player in a single game since Courtney Paris in 2009.
The Sooners battled back from a seven-point halftime deficit to grab the lead in the fourth quarter. OU stretched its lead to 59-52 with 9:05 to play, but the Cowgirls (14-4, 5-2 Big 12) outscored the Sooners down the stretch to steal the win. Down 69-68 with 0:04 left, OU's Maddie Manning appeared to have given the Sooners the lead, but her basket was waved off due to a traveling violation.
Pellington finished 11-of-15 from the field and tied her career with six rebounds in nearly 40 minutes of action. Pierre-Louis was 6-of-12 against the Cowgirls en route to earning her 16th career double-double.
Ana Llanusa chipped in 11 points, while Gabbi Ortiz scored in double figures with 10 points. Ortiz moved into third place all-time at OU with 190 career 3-pointers, passing former Sooner Morgan Hook.
OU finished with a .467 field goal percentage, while limiting Oklahoma State to a .375 clip from the floor. The Cowgirls took advantage from deep, knocking down 10 3-pointers and shooting .556 from deep. The Sooners also won the rebounding battle, 39-36.
Kaylee Jensen led the Cowgirls with 29 points and 13 rebounds in 34 minutes. Jensen was 10-for-20 from the field and hit two 3-pointers, including the go-ahead trey with 1:33 to go. Braxtin Miller also finished in double figures with 13 points.
