The Sooners finished the 2016-17 season with a 23-10 overall record and a 13-5 mark in Big 12 play. OU advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in their 18th consecutive appearance in the Big Dance.

From beyond the arc, the Sooners hit 220 3-pointers as a team this season. OU's total ranks as the third-most 3-pointers by a team in school history. It's the sixth time in the last seven years that OU has made at least 200 treys in one season. OU's numbers increased in the NCAA Tournament, hitting 22 triples and shooting .449 from deep in the postseason.

OU increased its offensive production in 2016-17, jumping 44 spots to finish 31st nationally in scoring offense at 74.0 points per game. The Sooners have finished in the top 35 in scoring offense 10 times in the last 11 years.

The Sooners ranked as one of the Big 12's best free throw shooting teams this season, finishing second in the conference from the foul line. The .736 clip from the charity stripe now ranks as the seventh-best mark in school history. Nationally, OU ranked 25th in free throws made.

OU's biggest increase in terms of defensive statistics came in the paint as the Sooners blocked 190 shots as a team. The Sooners ranked ninth in Division I in blocked shots, marking just the second time OU has finished in the top 10 nationally (2008, fifth).

The Sooners recorded 297 steals during the 2016-17 season, their most in one year since the 2001-02 season. OU nearly set a program single-game record for steals on Dec. 21 against Portland State, finishing with 27 swipes in the final game of the Puerto Rico Classic in Las Vegas, Nev. (tied for the sixth-most in one game by a Division I team this year).

For the 12th time in the last 13 seasons, OU recorded 20-plus wins. During her tenure with the Sooners, Sherri Coale has produced 15 20-win teams. The Sooners also recorded double-digit victories in Big 12 play for the 11th time in the last 12 years, finishing in third place with a 13-5 mark against league foes.

Peyton Little concluded her OU career in 25th place all-time in school history in scoring with 1,187 points. The Abilene, Texas, native finished second on the team in scoring with 12.4 points per game and led OU with 23 double-figure scoring games.

Gabbi Ortiz dramatically improved her assist-turnover ratio this season, finishing fourth in the Big 12 and 48th in Division I in that category. During her junior season, Ortiz dished a career-best 121 assists and averaged 8.9 points per game.

Freshman Nancy Mulkey and junior Vionise Pierre-Louis combined to record 133 of OU's 190 blocks this season. The duo's 133 blocked shots is more than 274 teams recorded during the entire season. Pierre-Louis' 71 blocks this season is the sixth-most by an OU player in one season, while Mulkey's 62 rejections are the third-most by an OU freshman.

Gabbi Ortiz turned in her best performance of her career at the free throw line during the 2016-17 season, posting a .841 mark at the foul line. Her free throw percentage was the fourth-best among Big 12 player this season and ranks 10th in OU single-season history. Heading into next season, Ortiz has made 21 consecutive foul shots.

Peyton Little finished in her career with 161 3-pointers at Oklahoma, which ranks sixth in program history. Little's 54 3-pointers this season led the Sooners. She also finished her OU career fifth in school history with 487 career 3-point attempts in 99 games.

Maddie Manning nearly set an OU single-game record with 10 steals against Portland State on Dec. 21. Manning's 10 steals were the most by a Big 12 player all season in a single game. The Ankeny, Iowa, native finished tied for first in the Big 12 with 2.0 steals per game this year.

Junior center Vionise Pierre-Louis set an OU NCAA Tournament record with nine blocks in the Sooners' opening-round win over Gonzaga. Pierre-Louis' nine blocks are the fourth-most ever in a NCAA Tournament First/Second Round game. Her nine rejections are also tied for the third-most ever in a single game by a Sooner.
