When NCAA competition gets underway on Friday, the Sooners will begin their pursuit for the third national title in program history. OU's first title came in 2014 when it tied with Florida, and the Sooners secured an outright win in 2016.

For the third consecutive season, OU is the No. 1 seed in NCAA competition, earning the ranking with a program-record 198.010 regional qualifying score. The Sooners have sat in the top spot every week but one this season.

The Sooners will be making their 17th all-time appearance at the NCAA Championships and 14th straight. OU has qualified to nationals each season under head coach K.J. Kindler.
10.0
In 2017, four Sooners have combined to record nine 10.0s, the most individual perfect marks in program history. Chayse Capps (BB), Nicole Lehrmann (UB), Maggie Nichols (VT [twice], UB, BB [twice], and FX) and McKenzie Wofford (UB) have all achieved perfection this season.

With six 10.0s in her freshman campaign, Maggie Nichols already holds the OU record for perfect marks in a career. Nichols has posted at least one 10.0 on each event, becoming just the ninth collegiate gymnast to complete a "GymSlam."
23-0
The Sooners enter nationals with a 23-0 record, including a 15-0 mark in regular season competition. It marked the fifth undefeated regular season under head coach K.J. Kindler. Dating back to the 2016 season, the Sooners have picked up 61 straight wins, including 48 consecutive victories on the road.
198
With a 198.075 at the NCAA Seattle Regional, OU has now scored at least 198 five times in 2017, the most in a single season in program history. The rest of the nation has combined for three such performances this season.

OU is one of only five teams in the nation to advance to the NCAA Championships every season since 2004, joining Alabama, Florida, LSU and Utah.
Since 2010, the Sooners have claimed six top-three finishes at the NCAA Championships. OU has finished first, second and third two times each in that span.
In NCAA Semifinal I, the Sooners will be paired with No. 4 Utah, No. 5 UCLA, No. 8 Oregon State, No. 9 Denver and No. 13 Washington, while No. 2 LSU, No. 3 Florida, No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 Michigan, No. 10 Georgia and No. 14 Nebraska will compete in Semifinal II. The top three teams from each session will advance to Saturday's Super Six meet, scheduled for 8 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
