NORMAN — The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team maintained its No. 1 ranking this week, holding onto the top spot for the eighth consecutive week. The Sooners are coming off a hard-fought 197.575-197.525 road victory at No. 11 Michigan on Saturday.
OU boasts a program-record 197.990 regional qualifying score to sit in first place. The rest of the top five remained unchanged this week, with LSU (197.775) and Florida (197.495) coming in second and third, respectively. UCLA stayed at No. 4 with a 197.445, and Utah is ranked fifth with a 197.355.
RQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. RQS scores are used to determine seeding for regional competition at six campus sites on April 1.

The Sooners' event rankings also remained the same this week. OU is No. 1 on three events, including bars (49.550), beam (49.520) and floor (49.600). The Sooners are also ranked third on vault with a 49.435 RQS.
In the individual rankings, eight Sooners boast an NCAA-leading 18 top-25 rankings, including 12 within the top 10.
For the third consecutive week, senior Chayse Capps and freshman Maggie Nichols are both ranked on all four events and in the all-around. Nichols holds first in the all-around with a 39.785 RQS, while Capps sits in third with a 39.585. The OU duo share the top spot on beam with marks of 9.955.
Nichols is also ranked fourth on vault (9.935), second on bars (9.955) and first on floor (9.965), while Capps is tied for 24th on vault (9.865), tied for 15th on bars (9.890) and tied for eighth on floor (9.930).
Junior AJ Jackson and sophomore Brenna Dowell are both ranked on vault and floor. Jackson checks in tied for 12th on vault (9.900) and second on floor (9.960), while Dowell holds fifth on vault (9.930) and is tied for 14th on floor (9.910).
On bars, senior McKenzie Wofford and sophomore Nicole Lehrmann both hold top-10 rankings, checking in at sixth (9.925) and 10th (9.910), respectively. Junior Stefani Catour is also ranked on the event, holding a share of 12th place with a 9.895 RQS. On beam, junior Natlie Brown is tied for 11th with a 9.905.
Up next, the Sooners conclude their regular season slate with a contest at No. 17 California. The meet is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT on Sunday in Berkeley, Calif. The meet will air on the Pac-12 Networks.
