NORMAN — Following two strong outings, the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team held onto the top spot in the rankings for the seventh consecutive week. Additonally, eight Sooners boast an NCAA-leading 18 top-25 individual rankings.
OU's regional qualifying score of 197.990 stands as the highest in program history. LSU and Florida remained in second and third with a 197.695 and 197.495, respectively. UCLA moved into fourth nationally (197.305), while Utah sits in fifth (197.180).
RQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. RQS scores are used to determine seeding for regional competition at six campus sites on April 1.

This week, the Sooners hold the top spot on three events, including bars (49.535), beam (49.520) and floor (49.600). OU also comes in third on vault with a 49.435 RQS.
Of OU's 18 individual rankings, 13 of those are within the top 10. Senior Chayse Capps and freshman Maggie Nichols are both ranked on all four events and in the all-around. After winning two all-around titles last weekend, Capps moved from sixth to third in the standings with a 39.570 RQS. She is also ranked on vault (tied for 23rd, 9.865), bars (tied for 16th, 9.880), beam (tied for second, 9.945) and floor (tied for seventh, 9.930).
Nichols maintained first place in the all-around with a 39.785 RQS and on beam (9.955) and floor (9.965). The freshman also holds second on bars with a RQS of 9.945 and third on vault with a 9.935.
Junior AJ Jackson and sophomore Brenna Dowell are both ranked on vault and floor. Jackson checks in tied for 11th on vault (9.900) and tied for second on floor (9.950), while Dowell holds fourth on vault (9.930) and 11th on floor (9.910).
After scoring a perfect 10.0 on Sunday at TWU, senior McKenzie Wofford jumped into the top five on bars, holding a share of fourth with a 9.925 RQS. Sophomore Nicole Lehrmann also scored a 10.0 on the event to stay in the top 10 of the rankings, checking in at seventh (9.910).
Junior Stefani Catour claims 10th place on bars with a 9.895 RQS, while junior Natalie Brown is tied for 11th on beam with a 9.895.
Next weekend, the Sooners will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face No. 11 Michigan. The meet is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT on Saturday and will stream live on MGoBlueTV.
