EUGENE, Ore. – Oklahoma battled back and forth against No. 10 Oregon, but could not overcome the Ducks' hot shooting performance as the Sooners fell 92-74 at Matthew Knight Arena in the PK80 Invitational.
Vionise Pierre-Louis scored a season-high 32 points on 12-of-21 shooting and recorded 13 rebounds to earn her 13th career double-double. Maddie Manning added in 17 points, while Ana Llanusa scored in double figures for the fourth straight game, finishing with 12 points.
OU (3-2) made 25-of-34 attempts at the free throw line, but finished just 1-of-21 from 3-point range. Oregon (5-1) finished 10-of-23 (.435) from deep as Sabrina Ionescu led the Ducks with 28 points.
Pierre-Louis scored 17 of her 32 points in the first half, but the Ducks hit seven treys to take a 14-point lead at intermission. The Sooners cut the deficit down to 61-51 late in the third quarter by forcing seven Oregon turnovers, but the Ducks responded with four points to close the frame.
Pierre-Louis' 32-point performance marked her second career game scoring 30-plus points and its the most scored by the senior in regulation during her OU career. The senior has picked up double-doubles in three of the first five games of the season for the Sooners.
Oregon finished with a .528 (.38-of-72) clip from the field, while OU shot .348 (24-of-69). Both teams pulled down 41 rebounds apiece, while the Sooners recorded 11 steals.
