NORMAN — University of Oklahoma women's gymnasts Brenna Dowell and Maggie Nichols will compete for U.S. titles this weekend at the P&G Championships held inside Saint Louis University's Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Mo.

The first day of the event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT Friday, with the final session slated for the same time on Sunday. Dowell will begin competition on floor before moving through Olympic order on vault, bars and beam, while Nichols will start on bars and move to beam, floor then vault.

NBC will air the competition starting at 8 p.m. CT on both days. Additionally, live simulcast coverage will be available through NBC Live Extra on iOS and Android devices or online at nbcsports.com/live-extra.

Results and start lists for the P&G Championships are available online.

Last year, Dowell and Nichols competed together on the 2015 World Championships team that won a third straight gold medal for the United States. Dowell competed for the Sooners in 2015 before deferring a season to pursue a spot on the worlds team, while Nichols is an incoming freshman for OU this season.

This marks Nichols' first competition since March 5 following knee surgery, while Dowell recently participated in the U.S. Secret Classic. Both are slated to next appear at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials on July 8 and 10 in San Jose, Calif.
