Don't Miss a Moment

With the majority of its team returning for the 2016-17 season, there are plenty of reasons to lock in your seats at the Lloyd Noble Center for the upcoming season.

While there were plenty of great moments a year ago, don't miss one moment of the action this season. Starting Friday, fans can begin to renew their season tickets for another season of OU women's basketball.

We give you five reasons why you can not miss out on this next season:

Four Starters Back

For the second straight season, the Sooners return four of five starters for the 2016-17 season. Peyton Little returns for her senior season after averaging 10.9 points per game a year ago. The Abilene, Texas, native leads OU with 107 career 3-pointers and with a strong year, the redshirt senior can finish among some of the best sharpshooters in school history. Redshirt senior Maddie Manning enjoyed a career year in 2015-16 with 8.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as she returns for her second year in OU's starting five.

Gabbi Ortiz, who has started all 66 career games in a Sooner uniform, is back for her junior season. The Racine, Wis., native will look to improve on her numbers from a year ago after averaging 6.4 points and 3.2 assists per game. She'll be joined in the backcourt by a healthy Gioya Carter after the Midwest City, Okla., battled through injuries a year ago to average 8.5 points in 22 contests.

OU will look to replace departed senior Kaylon Williams, but junior center and reigning Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year Vionise Pierre-Louis looks to fill the void. As a sophomore, Pierre-Louis was third on the squad in scoring with 9.3 points a game while pulling down 5.2 boards per contest in just 15.6 minutes of action. She solidifed her game against Big 12 foes and even set the school record for single-game blocks in a NCAA Tournament contest with seven swats against Purdue.

The Sooners are one of four Big 12 teams with at least four starters returning for next season.

Coale Inducted Into WBHOF

This season, the Sooners will officially have a Hall of Famer roaming the sidelines. On June 11, head coach Sherri Coale added to her long list of honors as she was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. During her 20 seasons in Norman, Coale has amassed 442 wins, four Big 12 Tournament titles, six regular season league crowns and led the Sooners to three Final Fours along with nine Sweet 16 appearances. ›› WBHOF

What To Watch For

Tough Home Slate

Even though the Sooners have yet to release their 2016-17 schedule, trust us, it's a good one. Seven teams who played in the NCAA Tournament will visit Lloyd Noble Center next season.

Vionise Pierre-Louis

Six Senior Leaders

While OU's starting lineup has three seniors, don't forget about the leadership that comes off the bench. Point guard T'ona Edwards gave the Sooners valuable minutes a year ago and sparked road comebacks at Washington and TCU a year ago. Derica Wyatt gave OU a valuable 3-point shooter off the bench throughout last season, catching fire in the Big 12 Championship from beyond the arc. Shaya Kellogg is a valuable voice for the Sooners on the bench and in the locker room. The Ames, Iowa, native appeared in 22 games last season and her 3-pointer at Washington was key in OU's come-from-behind win against the Huskies.

Ranked No. 14 in "Way-Too-Early-Poll"

The national media have already taken notice of the Sooners' 12 returners for next season. ESPNW's "Way-Too-Early" Top-25 rankings have Oklahoma at No. 14 heading into next season. With the Sooners returning their entire backcourt, the Big 12's Sixth Man of the Year in Vionise Pierre-Louis along with adding in highly-touted newcomers Chelsea Dungee, Nancy Mulkey and Morgan Rich, fans have plenty to be excited about in 2015-16. ›› RANKINGS
