Notes:

  • The Sooners had four freshmen in the starting lineup; marking the 35th time this season OU has started three or more in a game.
  • Oklahoma scored in the second and third inning of each game this series and in each of the last four games.
  • Right-hander Alec Hansen made his first start on the mound since pitching at Texas Tech (3/24/16).
  • Hansen became the third OU pitcher to take a no-hitter into the sixth this season.
  • Hansen's nine strikeouts was his second highest total of the season.
  • Hansen matched his longest outing of the season with six innings; marking the 12th start by an OU pitcher of at least six innings.
  • The win marked Hansen's first since a victory at Kansas State (5/10/15) when he did not allow an earned run over five innings.
