Notes:

  • The Sooners matched a season-high with six freshmen in the starting lineup; marking the 32nd time this season OU has started three or more in a game. OU previously started six freshmen against Wichita State (3/8).
  • Sheldon Neuse stole his career-high 11th base of the season.
  • Neuse recorded his team-leading 20th multi-hit and ninth multi-RBI game of the season.
  • Domenic DeRenzo homered twice to lift his season total to eight home runs. He has gone yard six times in the last six games with his second two-home run game.
  • DeRenzo's eight home runs on the season are fourth all-time by an OU freshman on record (1993-present). He passed Brian Shackleford (1995), Tommy Whiteman (1999) and Neuse (2014) at seven. Max White (2010) holds the record at 15.
  • DeRenzo's fourth-inning grand slam was the first by a Sooner since Taylor Alspaugh against Purdue (3/8/15).
