Notes:

  • The Sooners have won three games in a walk off this season; all coming in the last six home games.
  • Alex Wise hit leadoff for the fifth time this season and first time since game one of a doubleheader against Long Beach State (3/12/16).
  • Oklahoma started three freshmen and has started three or more in 19 of the last 21 games and 20 times overall.
  • Hunter Haley smacked his second home run of the season and 14th of his career. He is hitting .419 (13-for-31) in his four-year career against Baylor.
  • Austin O'Brien picked up his third multi-hit game of the season and 18th of his career. He is hitting .348 (8-for-23) in his career against the Bears.
  • Domenic DeRenzo doubled for the fourth time this season. Eight of his 12 hits have gone for extra bases.
  • JB Olson made his team-leading 16th appearance out of the bullpen.
  • Sheldon Neuse hit his fourth triple of the season and 14th of his career, which is the most for OU in the Big 12 (1997-present) era. He is tied for sixth all-time at Oklahoma with Keith Drumright (1973-76), Chris Ebright (1987-89) and Byron Mathews (1990-92).
  • Neuse recorded his 16th multi-hit game of the season and 55th of his career.
  • Oklahoma won its first series opener with Baylor for the first time since 2012. The Sooners lead the all-time series 39-35 and 22-9 when playing in Norman.
