NORMAN — En route to picking up the program's second national title, nine members of the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team secured a total of 18 All-America honors at the 2016 NCAA Championships, a program record.

The 18 total honors shattered the previous program mark of 13, set last season. It was also the most in the nation this year.

Junior Chayse Capps became a 2016 All-American on all four events and in the all-around, just the second gymnast in OU history to accomplish the feat (Kelly Garrison, 1988). It was the first season in which Capps competed on both bars and in the all-around. Four of her accolades were first team, while she was named to the second team on vault.

Snagging a trio of honors was senior Keeley Kmieciak, who was named to the first team in the all-around and on vault and floor. Kmieciak finished her career with five total All-America accolades. Fellow senior Haley Scaman earned first-team recognition on vault and was on the second team for floor, bringing her career tallying of honors to six.

Sophomore AJ Jackson earned spots on the first team for floor and second team for bars, while true freshman Nicole Lehrmann was recognized as a first-team All-American on bars and was on the beam second team.

Senior Hunter Price picked up her first career All-America honor, doing so on vault. On bars, junior McKenzie Wofford and true freshman Nicole Lehrmann were first-team All-Americans, and Lehrmann also secured second-team honors on beam. Sophomores Natalie Brown earned a spot on the first team for beam, and junior Charity Jones was placed on the second team for the event.

In its history, Oklahoma now has 104 total All-America honors, 81 of which have come under 10th-year head coach K.J. Kindler.
