Third Round Canceled; Sooners Finish Sixth

ARDMORE, Okla. – The final round of the Maxwell was canceled due to poor weather conditions on Sunday, and final results will reflect scores from the first 36 holes of competition. The tournament was played at the par-70, 6,586-yard Dornick Hills Golf and Country Club in Ardmore, Okla.
The No. 20 Oklahoma men's golf team finished in sixth place with a two-round 563 (+3).
Texas, who is ranked No. 1 by Golfweek/Sagarin, claimed the team title with a 547 (-13). No. 29 Baylor finished runner-up with a 552 (-8), and No. 9 Oklahoma State and No. 33 New Mexico tied for third at 554 (-6).
Max McGreevy was the best finisher for the Sooners, tying for fourth at 137 (-3). The junior fired a 66 (-4) in the first round, tying his career-low 18-hole score, and a 71 (+1) in the second. A full recap of the first two rounds can be found here.
The Sooners begin postseason play in two weeks at the Big 12 Championship. The tournament will be played April 29-May 1 (Friday-Sunday) in Trinity, Texas.
