FORT WORTH, Texas For the fourth consecutive season and sixth time overall, the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team is Super Six bound.

The No. 1-seeded Sooners posted a 197.7875, the best semifinal mark in program history, to take first place in the second session of the 2016 NCAA Championships on Friday night inside Fort Worth Convention Center.

Also advancing to Saturday's Super Six team final from the prelim were No. 4 Alabama (197.3875) and No. 8 UCLA (196.7000), while No. 2 Florida (197.475), No. 3 LSU (197.3375) and No. 10 Georgia (196.725) secured their spots out of the first semifinal. No. 9 California (195.8500) No. 12 Nebraska (195.7750) and No. 5 Utah (195.7625) rounded out the standings in Semifinal II.

“Super excited to be able to do this, this is a tough meet and that was a tough session," 10th-year OU head coach K.J. Kindler said. "I am really pleased with the team. They were very energetic, very on point, very detailed oriented, all the things you want them to be. They had really good momentum throughout the meet and we are just really happy and excited to be moving forward.”

Nine OU gymnasts secured a total of 18 NCAA All-America honors, a program record. The previous high came last season with 13.

Additionally, Friday's semifinals served as the all-around and individual event finals. The titles were awarded to the competitors with the highest scores when the results from the two semifinals were combined.

With a 39.6125 all-around performance, junior Chayse Capps finished as the national runner-up and a first-team All-American in her first season competing on all four events. Capps was also a first-team All-American on bars, beam and floor and second-team on vault.

Senior Keeley Kmieciak scored a 39.5000 in the all-around to tie for seventh place. Kmieciak claimed first-team honors in the all-around and on floor and vault. Fellow seniors Hunter Price and Haley Scaman also earned first-team accolades on vault, while Scaman was on the second-team for floor. 

On bars, junior McKenzie Wofford and freshman Nicole Lehrmann were first-team All-Americans, and Lehrmann also secured second-team honors on beam. Sophomores Natalie Brown and AJ Jackson earned spots on the first team for beam and floor, respectively, Jackson was also earned second-team honors for bars. Junior Charity Jones placed on the second team for beam.

After sitting out the first rotation on a bye, the Sooners began competition on floor, scoring a 49.4500 to start the night off with a bang. In the No. 5 spot, Jackson tallied a 9.9125, good for a third-place national finish. Capps and Kmieciak recorded identical marks of 9.9 to tie for fourth place. In the anchor spot, Scaman posted a 9.8875, and Jones scored a 9.85 for OU.

The Sooners carried their momentum to vault, posting four straight scores of at least 9.9 to record a team total of 49.4000. With marks of 9.9125, Price, Kmieciak and Scaman grabbed fifth place in the final standings. The score was a career best for Price, surpassing her previous one of 9.9. In the No. 4 spot, Capps recorded a 9.9 to continue her strong start to the night.

The Sooners have shined on bars this season, and Friday night was no exception, recording a 49.4625. As the anchor, Wofford put together a great routine to score a 9.9375 and finish third in the nation on the event. Lehrmann and Capps both tallied marks of 9.9 to tie for fourth, while Jackson opened the rotation with a solid 9.875. Scaman and Kmieciak scored 9.85s in the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively.

The Sooners moved to beam to close the evening and put together a strong performance with a 49.4750. Brown paced OU with a 9.925 on beam to 49.4750. Capps anchored with a strong 9.9125, while Lehrmann and Jones both matched their career-best scores with identical 9.9s. Kmieciak and sophomore Stefani Catour recorded marks of 9.8375 on the event.

Oklahoma will look to win the second NCAA title in program history when it competes in Saturday's Super Six team finals. The meet will begin at 8 p.m. CT and air live on ESPNU, with individual streams of each event available on WatchESPN.com. The Sooners will begin the meet on vault and move through Olympic order.
