Notes:

  • Oklahoma started three freshmen. The Sooners have used three or more freshmen in their lineup in 21 of the last 23 games and 22 times overall.
  • Sheldon Neuse hit cleanup for the fourth time this season and first since facing Abilene Christian (2/24/16).
  • Neuse extended his reached base streak to 16 games and hit streak to seven.
  • Neuse pitched a career-high 4.1 innings of relief. He is 3-0 in Big 12 games.
  • OU pitchers gave up four home runs, the most in a game since falling to TCU (5/15/15) and giving up three. The Sooners have allowed more than one home run in a game twice; each coming in the last two games.
  • Chris Andritsos clubbed his first triple of the season. The Sooners are second in the Big 12 with 10 on the season.
  • Hunter Haley hit his third and fourth home runs of the season to push his career total to 16. He hit three on the weekend and became the first OU player to hit two in a game since Kolbey Carpenter against Utah (2/22/15).
  • Haley is a .447 (17-for-38) career hitter against Baylor.
  • Austin O'Brien hit his third home run of the season and eighth of his career.
  • Cade Harris hit the first home run of his career.
  • Oklahoma totaled a season-high four home runs. The Sooners last went yard four times against Purdue (3/8/15).
  • OU infielders turned a season-high four double plays.
  • The Sooners are now 1-1 in extra innings. The last was an 11-inning loss at Sam Houston State (2/28).
