TULSA, Okla. – The Oklahoma women's tennis team fell to No. 21 Tulsa, 4-0, on the road Wednesday.

The Sooners (5-6) began the match with a promising start. Senior Zita Engbroks and sophomore Christiana Brigante took the No. 3 doubles match, defeating Tulsa's Saana Saarteinen and Mahitha Dadireddy, 6-2.

The Golden Hurricane (13-2) took the final two doubles matches to clinch the point. At the No. 2 position, Tulsa's No. 79 pair of Rongrong Leenabanchong and Marth Matoula took down OU's Mimi Fotopoulos and Emma Devine, 6-2.

In the clinching match, Oklahoma's sophomore duo of Lily Miyazaki and Simran Sethi fell to Ksenia Laskutova and Renata Kuricova, 7-5, on court one.

In singles, Tulsa's Lustakova defeated OU's Devine, 6-1, 6-3, to hand the senior her first loss in dual-match play this year. The Golden Hurricane extended its lead to 3-0 as Oklahoma's Brigante fell to Leenabanchong, 6-4, 6-3.

Tulsa clinched the match at the No. 5 line when OU's Sethi fell to TU's Kuricova, 6-2, 7-5.

The Sooners are back in action on March 16 in Las Vegas to face UNLV.
