NORMAN — After turning in its best performance of the season last weekend, the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team remained No. 1 in the national rankings for the fourth consecutive week.
The Sooners tallied a season-best 198.075 in a win over then-No. 4 Michigan last Friday night, raising their regional qualifying score (RQS) to 197.705. Florida is ranked second with a RQS of 197.440, and Alabama holds the No. 3 spot with a 197.325. LSU sits in fourth place (197.150) and Michigan checks in at No. 5 (197.065).
RQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. RQS scores are used to determine seeding for regional competition at six campus sites on April 2.

As a team, the Sooners stayed No. 1 on three events, including bars (49.505), beam (49.370, tied with Florida) and floor (49.500).This marks the fourth straight week OU has held the top spot on both bars and beam and the second consecutive it has checked in at No. 1 on floor. Additionally, OU is ranked second on vault with a RQS of 49.395, coming in just behind LSU (49.400).
Eight Sooners boast an NCAA-leading total of 17 individual top-25 rankings, paced by junior Chayse Capps, who is ranked in the all-around and on all four events.
Capps leads the nation in both the all-around (39.600 RQS) and on beam (9.935). She has held the top spot in the all-around for the second straight week, and this is the fourth conseutive time she is No. 1 on beam. Capps also sits in a tie for 18th on vault (9.875), is tied for third on bars (9.910) in her first season competing on the apparatus and checks in at a tie for 21st on floor (9.890).
Senior Keeley Kmieciak is also ranked in the all-around, holding the No. 7 spot with a 39.440 RQS and is tied for 10th nationally on bars (9.900).
With a 9.940 RQS, junior McKenzie Wofford is ranked first on bars for the eighth consecutive week, while sophomore Natalie Brown sits in a tie for fourth on beam with a 9.900 RQS.
Senior Haley Scaman, junior Charity Jones, sophomore AJ Jackson and freshman Nicole Lehrmann are all ranked on a pair of events. Scaman is tied for 11th on vault (9.890) and sixth on floor (9.925), Jones is tied for 24th on vault (9.860) and 21st on floor (9.890), Jackson is second on vault (9.925) and tied for 13th on floor (9.910) and Lehrmann sits in a tie for sixth on bars (9.905) and is tied for 19th on beam (9.870).
The Sooners (18-1 overall) host No. 18 Arizona at 6:45 p.m. CT on Friday inside Lloyd Noble Center. The meet will be Senior Night for Maile'ana Kanewa, Kmieciak, Hunter Price, Scaman and Nicole Turner.
