SATURDAY'S GAME BASICS
No. 20/21 Oklahoma (17-8, 8-6 Big 12) wraps up a two-game road swing at Kansas (5-20, 0-14 Big 12) Saturday afternoon inside Allen Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT. The Sooners, who are 5-5 in true road games this season, fell 63-55 on the road at West Virginia Wednesday night in Morgantown. Kansas has lost 16 straight, including all 14 games in Big 12 play, heading into Saturday's contest. The Sooners have won nine out of the last 10 meetings between the two teams in Lawrence.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
• Oklahoma looks to rebound at Kansas on Saturday as the Sooners take on the Jayhawks at 2 p.m. CT inside Allen Fieldhouse. The Sooners, who are 7-0 after dropping a Big 12 game this season, have won nine out of the last 10 meetings in Lawrence against the Jayhawks.
• In the previous matchup, the Sooners opened conference play with a 67-44 victory over the Jayhawks on Dec. 30 at Lloyd Noble Center. Kaylon Williams poured in a game-high 21 points and recorded nine rebounds, while Derica Wyatt hit four 3-pointers to finish with 14 points. OU outshot Kansas, .428 to .316, and finished with a 46-30 advantage on the glass.
• Sophomore center Vionise Pierre-Louis leads the Big 12 in field goal percentage, shooting .617 from the field heading into Saturday's contest. The sophomore center also ranks first in conference play with a .622 shooting percentage among Big 12 players. Over the last seven games, Pierre-Louis has registered a .661 clip (41-of-62) and averaged 12.9 points in 17.5 minutes per game. She has scored in double figures in four of the last five games for the Sooners.
Peyton Little finished in double figures at West Virginia, scoring a team-high 14 points.
• Gioya Carter has provided a spark for the Sooners since her return to the starting five on Jan. 20 against Texas Tech. As a starter, Carter is averaging 12.1 points per game with a .458 shooting percentage (44-of-96). The junior has scored in double figures in seven consecutive games. Carter finished with a season-high 19 points on Feb. 9 at Kansas State.
• The Sooners made zero of 11 3-point field goal attempts from behind the arc in Wednesday night's loss at West Virginia. It was the Sooners' first 0-for-game from 3-point range on the road since finishing 0-for-8 at Texas A&M in 2010. OU rebounded the next game during that season by making 16 triples against Oklahoma State.GAME 25 RECAP: WEST VIRGINIA
• Oklahoma dropped its sixth Big 12 game of the season, falling 63-55 at West Virginia Wednesday in Morgantown at WVU Coliseum. The Sooners trailed 57-53 with 1:31 remaining, but could not inch closer.
• Peyton Little led the Sooners with a team-high 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting with four rebounds. T'ona Edwards provided 11 points and six rebounds off the bench, while Gioya Carter scored in double figures for the seventh straight game, logging 10 points and five rebounds.
• The Sooners finished the game with a .361 shooting percentage (22-of-61) and a .688 mark (11-of-16) from the free throw line. The Sooners outscored the Mountaineers in the paint, 34-24, while West Virginia scored 13 points off of 19 OU turnovers.
• OU finished the game 0-of-17 from the 3-point line, marking the first the Sooners failed to knock down at least one triple in Big 12 road since 2010 at Texas A&M. The 17 attempts without a 3-pointer made are the most by the Sooners in a single game in school history.
PREVIEWING KANSAS
• Picked by the Big 12 coaches to finish tenth in the league, Kansas is 5-20 overall and 0-14 in conference play. The Jayhawks average 53.2 points per game (ranks last in the Big 12) on a .353 field goal percentage (tenth), .308 3-point shooting (sixth) and .674 free throw shooting (fifth). Kansas is 4-11 at Allen Fieldhouse this season and enter Saturday's game with a 16-game losing streak.
• Lauren Aldridge leads the Jayhawks with 10.0 points per game in 34.8 minutes per contest. The sophomore guard has recorded double-figure scoring games 15 times in 25 contests this year. Aldridge is third in the Big 12 in minutes played and 20th in scoring. Kylee Kopatich averages 9.9 points per game and has also scored in double-digits in 15 games for the Jayhawks. Kopatich averages 32.6 minutes per a contest, which ranks second among Big 12 freshmen.
• Caeylnn Manning-Allen leads the Jayhawks has recorded a team-high 34 blocks this season (1.4 blocks per game). The junior also averages a team-best 5.4 rebounds per game this season.
• Kansas is led by head coach Brandon Schneider, who is in his first season in Lawrence. Schneider is in his 17th year has a head coach and spent the last five seasons at Stephen F. Austin, where he led the program to three postseason appearances. He also served as the head coach at Emporia State from 1998-2010. He boasts a 406-159 (.718) record.
OU-KANSAS SERIES HISTORY
• Oklahoma leads the all-time series, 34-30, against Kansas. The Sooners have won five out of the last six matchups in the series.
• The Sooners opened Big 12 play with a 67-44 victory over the Jayhawks on Dec. 30 at Lloyd Noble Center. Kaylon Williams finished with a team-high 21 points and nine rebounds, while Derica Wyatt chipped in 14 points for the Sooners.
• OU head coach Sherri Coale is 20-6 against the Jayhawks at OU and 9-3 versus Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. The Sooners have won nine out of 10 meetings in Lawrence dating back to 2001.
EXCELLENCE IN THE CLASSROOM
• A record nine Oklahoma women's basketball players were named to the 2016 Academic All-Big 12 Team on Thursday, the league office announced. The Sooners' nine selections set a school record and were tied for the most by a Big 12 team.
• The Sooners earned eight Academic All-Big 12 First Team selections, which tied a school record that was set in 2002. T'ona Edwards, Shaya Kellogg, Maddie Manning, Gabbi Ortiz, Vionise Pierre-Louis, McKenna Treece, LaNesia Williams and Derica Wyatt were all selected to the 39-player first team list (includes student-athletes who have recorded a 3.20 or better GPA). Peyton Little was one of 11 players named to the second team (3.00 to 3.19 GPA).
QUICK HITTERS
Kaylon Williams is just six points away from passing former Sooner Nicole Griffin for the 30th on OU's all-time scoring list.
• OU did not make a 3-pointer for the first time this season in Wednesday's loss at West Virginia, marking the first time the Sooners did not knock down a triple in a game since 2014 against Kansas. The Sooners' tough night from behind the arc was the first time OU failed to make a 3-pointer in a road contest since 2010 at Texas A&M.
• Oklahoma held Texas to a season-low .290 shooting percentage in last Sunday's victory over the sixth-ranked Longhorns. Texas' 56 points were also the fewest by the Longhorns in Big 12 play. OU was just the third team this year to outrebound Texas this season.
• The Sooners are 10-2 at home this season and have won 22 out of 25 contests at Lloyd Noble Center dating back to last season. OU is 2-1 this season against AP top 25 opponent at home this year.
• Eight OU players are averaging double-figure minutes for the Sooners through 25 games. Gabbi Ortiz (27.4), Maddie Manning (27.7) and Peyton Little (30.6) are averaging 25-plus minutes per contest.
• Little earned her first career Big 12 Player of the Week on Feb. 1 for her performances against West Virginia and at Iowa State. The redshirt junior guard averaged 18.0 points per game during the week, scoring all of her points in the second half in both games. Little's 23 points tied a season-high for a Sooner in a single game. Her 23 points in the second half are the most by an OU player since Danielle Robinson recorded 24 at Oklahoma State in 2010.
• Oklahoma is 10-2 this season when leading at halftime and 3-0 when tied at the break. The Sooners are 5-5 when trailing at the intermission this season. OU is 15-1 this season when outrebounding its opponent and is 16-2 when holding foes to under 70 points. The Sooners are 14-2 when scoring 70 or more points against a foe this year.
• OU has also held 19 of its 25 opponents to sub-45 percent field goal shooting (16 times in the last 22 games). Only two opponents (Texas and Kansas State) have finished with a .500 or better shooting percentage against Oklahoma. The Sooners have also limited 16 of its 25 foes to sub 33-percent 3-point shooting.
• The Sooners are 209-117 (.641) against Big 12 competition under Sherri Coale.
• Coale will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame on June 11, 2016, in Knoxville, Tenn. Coale is OU's all-time leader in wins (437), leading the Sooners to three Final Fours and 16 straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
• The Sooners return the majority of their production in every statistical category for 2015-16. That includes 81 percent of the team's points and rebounds, along with 85 percent of its assists, 81 percent of its blocks and 78 percent of its steals. OU also brings back 80 percent of its made 3-point field goals and its free throw production. 11 letterwinners return from last season's squad that combined to play 5,377 minutes a year ago.
