SATURDAY'S GAME BASICS
In a tie for third place in the Big 12 standings, No. 21/20 Oklahoma (14-5, 5-3 Big 12) travels to face Iowa State (11-8, 3-5 Big 12) on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at Hilton Coliseum. The Sooners, who are 1-3 on the road in conference games this year, rallied from a 16-point deficit to top No. 24 West Virginia, 57-54, Wednesday night at Lloyd Noble Center. Iowa State, who is 8-2 at home, looks to snap a four-game losing streak after falling to TCU, 72-62, Wednesday in Ames, Iowa.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
• Oklahoma and Iowa State meet for the 59th time in series history Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa. The Sooners lead the all-time series, 35-23, and are 9-15 in Ames (3-9 in the Big 12 era) against the Cyclones. Last season, Oklahoma and Iowa State split the season series with both home teams earning the victory (cumulative stats and box scores from last year's two meetings are on page 11 of these notes).
• The Sooners picked up their first victory over an AP ranked team this season with a 57-54 comeback win Wednesday at Lloyd Noble Center over No. 24 West Virginia. OU, who trailed by 16 points midway through the second quarter, matched its biggest comeback in a Big 12 regular season game in program history (trailed by 16 at Kansas State, 2010).
• Peyton Little scored a game-high 23 points, all in the second half, to lead the rally. The 23 points for Little marked a season-high and are the most points by an OU player in a second half since Danielle Robinson scored 24 of her 36 points in the final 20 minutes at Oklahoma State in 2010. Little finished 8-of-15 from the field, 3-of-7 from behind the arc and hit 4-of-5 from the free throw line (all in the fourth quarter) against the Mountaineers.
T'ona Edwards made her first career start as a Sooner in Wednesday's 57-54 victory over West Virginia.
• Saturday's game marks a return for Oklahoma's Shaya Kellogg and Maddie Manning to their home state. Kellogg, who is a returning to her hometown of Ames, has played in 15 games off the bench and averaged 8.3 minutes per contest this season. Manning is OU's third leading scorer at 8.7 points per game and ranks seventh in the league with a .786 free throw percentage.
• The Sooners forced West Virginia to a season-high 31 turnovers and scored 25 points off of turnovers Wednesday. OU has outscored its opponents off turnovers in five out of the last six games and in 14 out of 19 contests this season.
GAME 19 RECAP: WEST VIRGINIA
• No. 21/20 Oklahoma matched its biggest comeback in a Big 12 regular season game in program history to rally and knock off No. 24/RV West Virginia, 57-54, Wednesday night inside Lloyd Noble Center.
• After trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, the Sooners stormed back with a big third quarter to secure the comeback over the Mountaineers in their first win over a ranked opponent this season. OU also erased a 16-point deficit at Kansas State in 2010.
• The Sooners were fueled by a season-high 23 points, all of which came in the second half, from Peyton Little. The redshirt junior made three of her five attempts from behind the arc and grabbed five rebounds for OU. Junior guard Gioya Carter also reached double figures, chipping in 12 points for the Sooners and swiping a career-high five steals.
• The Sooners used a 24-point third quarter in which they shot 53 percent from the floor to hold a 44-42 advantage entering the final frame. OU scored the first five points of the third quarter to narrow the margin to 32-25 at the 9:00 mark and force a West Virginia timeout. From there, OU cut the lead to two on several occasions but could not grab the lead until late in the quarter. With 1:47 left in the third period, a Little bucket tied the game at 42-42. The Sooners took the lead for good with 18 seconds left in the third on a Gabbi Ortiz layup.
PREVIEWING IOWA STATE
• Picked to finish fourth by the Big 12 coaches, Iowa State is 11-8 overall and 3-5 in Big 12 play. The Cyclones, who are 8-2 at home, are coming off a 72-62 loss to TCU on Wednesday night in Ames. The Cyclones average 71.4 points a contest (ranks fifth in the Big 12) on .406 field goal shooting (eighth), .313 3-point shooting (seventh) and .720 free throwing shooting (second). The Cyclones are third in the league with 6.8 3-pointers made per contest.
• Iowa State's Seanna Johnson is tied for sixth in the country with 12 double-doubles this season. The junior ranks fifth in the Big 12 with 16.8 points per game and averages 9.9 rebounds per contest (third in the league) for the Cyclones. In Big 12 play, Johnson has averaged 16.9 points a game for Iowa State. Bridget Carleton is the Big 12's leading scorer and rebounder among freshman with 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds a contest. Redshirt sophomore guard Jada Buckley is 19th in the NCAA with 6.0 assists per game this year.
• Iowa State ranks sixth in the nation with the sixth-fewest fouls this season as a team (248). The Cyclones are also sixth in the country with just 13.1 personal fouls per game.
• The Sooners lead the all-time series with Iowa State, 35-23. Oklahoma's last win in Ames came in 2014 as the Sooners defeated then 20th-ranked Iowa State, 75-54. OU is 11-17 against Iowa State in the Big 12 era.
• Oklahoma defeated Iowa State, 75-66, in the first meeting between the two teams a year ago in Norman. Peyton Little led four Sooners in doubles figures with 18 points and hit four treys in the win. Iowa State claimed last year's meeting in Ames with a 84-76 overtime victory. Little led OU with 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting, while Gabbi Ortiz scored 10 points and recorded a career-high eight assists.
LITTLE SPARKS COMEBACK
• Redshirt junior guard Peyton Little recorded a season-high 23 points, all in the second half, as the Sooners picked up their sixth straight home win Wednesday against West Virginia.
• Little's 23 points in the second half are the most by an OU player in a half since Aaryn Ellenberg scored 22 points (first half) at Texas in 2014. Danielle Robinson holds the Oklahoma record for points scored in a half in the Sherri Coale era with 24 points in the second half at Oklahoma State in 2010.
• Little's 23 points are tied for the most by a Sooner in a single game this season. The redshirt junior also knocked down three triples in the win. Little scored 12 of OU's 24 points in the third quarter and she added in 11 points in the fourth quarter, while hitting 4-of-5 from the free throw line.
• The Cyclones are under the direction of head coach Bill Fennelly, who owns a 445-213 record in his 21 seasons at Iowa State. He has led the Cyclones to 16 NCAA Tournament berths and owns a 611-267 overall record.
CLUB PRESS
• In the last two games, both of OU's opponents have committed a season high in turnovers. Oklahoma scored 25 points off of 31 West Virginia turnovers in Wednesday's game. The 31 turnovers by the Mountaineers are most in a single game by a Big 12 team this season are the most by WVU in a contest since 2012. Last Saturday at Texas, the Longhorns committed a season-high 26 turnovers against the Sooners.
• The Sooners are tied for second in the Big 12 with a +2.3 turnover margin this season.
QUICK HITTERS
Shaya Kellogg returns to her hometown of Ames, Iowa, for this Saturday's game. Kellogg has appeared in 15 games this season for the Sooners.
• OU's bench scored a season-high 36 points last Saturday at Texas. Vionise Pierre-Louis contributed 23 of those 36 points, while Derica Wyatt scored 11 off the bench and hit three 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Longhorns.
• Nine OU players are averaging double-figure minutes for the Sooners through 19 games. Derica Wyatt (25.0) Gabbi Ortiz (27.3), Maddie Manning (26.9) and Peyton Little (31.2) are averaging 25-plus minutes per contest.
• Through 19 games, OU's opponents are 182-of-283 (.643) from the free throw line during the 2015-16 season. At this point last year, OU's foes were 279-of-416 (.670) from the charity stripe.
• Oklahoma is holding opponents to 9.6 made free throws per game this season, compared to 15.3 per game last season (5.7 less per game through 19 contests).
• The Sooners have kept teams away from the free throw line this season by committing just 324 fouls (17.1 per game) through 19 games this year. At this point a year ago, the Sooners had recorded 407 fouls (21.4 per game).
• The Sooners average 31.1 points per game in the paint. This season 590 of 1,340 total points (44 percent) have come through the paint, while holding foes to 24.3 points per game in the post. OU also has outscored its opponents by 5.4 points per game off turnovers on the year (19.6-14.2).
• Oklahoma is 10-1 this season when leading at halftime. The Sooners are 4-3 when trailing at the intermission this season. OU is 12-0 this season when outrebounding its opponent and is 14-1 when holding foes to under 70 points.
• OU has also held 15 of its 19 opponents to sub-45 percent field goal shooting (12 times in the last 16 games). Texas (.508) is the only opponent to shoot over 50 percent from the field against Oklahoma. The Sooners have also limited 13 of its 19 foes to sub 33-percent 3-point shooting.
• The Sooners are 206-114 (.644) against Big 12 competition under Sherri Coale.
• Coale will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame on June 11, 2016, in Knoxville, Tenn. Coale is OU's all-time leader in wins (434), leading the Sooners to three Final Fours and 16 straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
• The Sooners return the majority of their production in every statistical category for 2015-16. That includes 81 percent of the team's points and rebounds, along with 85 percent of its assists, 81 percent of its blocks and 78 percent of its steals. OU also brings back 80 percent of its made 3-point field goals and its free throw production. 11 letterwinners return from last season's squad that combined to play 5,377 minutes a year ago.
