Tied for third place in the Big 12 standings, No. 19/19 Oklahoma (13-4, 4-2 Big 12) travels to take on rival Texas on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT inside the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The Sooners, who are 4-2 in true road games this season, are coming off a 92-53 home victory over Texas Tech on Wednesday in which they held the Lady Raiders to .380 field goal shooting. Texas (17-1, 6-1 Big 12) enters Saturday's game after rallying to defeat TCU, 65-58, on the road in Fort Worth Wednesday night. The Longhorns are 9-1 at home this season.
Saturday's game will air on FSN with Bob Licht and Dan Hughes announcing. The contest will also air on the Sooner Radio Network with Brian Brinkley calling the action.
• Oklahoma and Texas meet for the 51st time in series history Saturday in Austin. The Longhorns lead the all-time series, 27-23. Both teams met three times last season with the Sooners earning a 70-59 victory over then No. 5 Texas in Norman. The Longhorns won last year's contest in double-overtime in Austin and eliminated OU from the Big 12 Tournament semifinals (box scores from last year's three meetings are on page 11 of these notes).
• Saturday's matchup with Texas marks OU's third meeting with a top-25 opponent this year. The Sooners are 0-2 against ranked opponents so far this season. Last year, OU defeated two top-5 teams including then fifth-ranked Texas, 70-59, in Norman. A victory Saturday would mark the Sooners' first road win over a top-25 foe since defeating No. 21 Iowa State, 75-54, in Ames on Jan. 21, 2014.
• Kaylon Williams became the 31st player in Oklahoma history to surpass the 1,000-point mark in the Sooners' 92-53 victory over Texas Tech on Wednesday. Williams, who finished with a team-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting against the Lady Raiders, is the sixth player in the last four seasons and the 18th Sooner in the Sherri Coale era to accomplish the feat.

• Gioya Carter made her return to the Oklahoma lineup Wednesday and did not disappoint. The junior guard scored eight of her season-high 13 points in first quarter as the Sooners raced out to a 30-6 lead after the opening frame. Carter, who missed the first 11 games due to injury, finished 4-of-8 from floor and recorded a season-high five rebounds in 18 minutes of action.
• OU's 92 points, 39-point margin of victory, 36 made field goals and .571 shooting percentage against Texas Tech were season-highs by a Big 12 team in a conference game this year.
• No. 19/19 Oklahoma used a balanced offensive attack to roll to a dominant 92-53 victory on Wednesday morning against Texas Tech inside Lloyd Noble Center. OU hosted more than 7,500 third to sixth graders from across the state of Oklahoma for Sooner Jr. Fan Field Trip Day.
• Thirteen Sooners scored as OU, who led the entire game, reached a season-high point total in the contest against the Lady Raiders (10-8, 1-6 Big 12). The 92 points are also the third-most the Sooners have ever scored against Texas Tech in series history.
• OU's offensive performance ranks as one of the best in the Big 12 this year. The Sooners' 92 points are most scored in a conference game this season. OU's margin of victory (39 points), field goals made (36) and shooting percentage (57.1 percent) against the Lady Raiders rank as the best among Big 12 teams in league contests so far this year.
• Pacing the Sooners was Kaylon Williams, who scored 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting. In the third quarter, the redshirt senior topped the 1,000-point mark for her career, becoming the 31st player in program history to reach the milestone. Williams also grabbed six rebounds, which tied with teammate T'ona Edwards for a game high. She added a career-high four assists (matched Gabbi Ortiz for most in the game) and a steal.
• No. 6/6 Texas is 17-1 overall and 6-1 in Big 12 play. The Longhorns are coming off a 65-58 road win over TCU on Wednesday night. Texas averages 74.0 points a contest (ranks second in the Big 12) on .451 field goal shooting (second), .350 3-point shooting (third) and .673 free throwing shooting (fourth). The Longhorns also rank second in the league in scoring defense (53.6 points per game).
• Senior center Imani Boyette is averaging a double-double for Texas, leading the team with 13.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. She is one of three players in the Big 12 averaging a double-double per contest this season. Boyette ranks third in the Big 12 with 10 doubles-doubles in 18 games.
• Sophomore guard Brooke McCarty ranks second on the team with 11.2 points per game and leads the Longhorns with 34 3-pointers and a .405 3-point shooting percentage (ranks seventh in the Big 12).
• Karen Aston is in her fourth year as Texas' head coach. Aston, who has a 75-43 record with the Longhorns, served as an assistant coach at Texas from 1998-2006 under former head coach Jody Conradt. Aston is 176-105 in her nine years as a head coach with previous stops at Charlotte and North Texas.
• Since the formation of the Big 12 Conference, the series is tied 22-22 between Oklahoma and Texas. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 27-23.
• The teams have met six times over the last two seasons including twice in the Big 12 Tournament. The Sooners are looking for their first win in Austin since defeating the Longhorns, 78-70, on Jan. 5, 2013.
• Kaylon Williams became the 31st player in Oklahoma history to surpass the 1,000-point mark after scoring 18 points in the Sooners' 39-point win over Texas Tech. The redshirt senior now has 1,005 points.
• Williams is the sixth player in the last four seasons to tally 1,000 career points as a Sooner. Those players are: Whitney Hand (2012-13), Aaryn Ellenberg (2013-14), Morgan Hook (2013-14), Nicole Griffin (2013-14) and Sharane Campbell-Olds (2014-15).
• The redshirt senior is also one of just two players in the Big 12 this season to rank in the top 10 in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage this season. Only Kansas State's Breanna Lewis has accomplished this feat. Williams currently ranks 17th in the country with a .570 field goal percentage.
• Williams is fourth in the league in field goal percentage (.570), while ranking sixth in rebounding (8.4) and 10th in scoring (14.2 ppg).
• The Midwest City, Okla., native is looking to etch her name in the OU record books. She already ranks seventh in school history with 295 offensive rebounds, just 13 shy of passing Caton Hill for sixth place.
• Gioya Carter made her return to OU's lineup on Wednesday against Texas Tech and the move immediately paid dividends as the junior guard scored a season-high 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting. Carter, who played a season-high 18 minutes, also hit her first 3-pointer of the season and pulled down five rebounds.
• The addition of Carter to OU's lineup marked the first lineup change for the Sooners since OU's second game of the season against North Texas when Derica Wyatt was inserted into the starting five. OU has used just three different lineup combinations this season. With her return to the lineup Wednesday, the combination of Gabbi Ortiz-Gioya Carter-Peyton Little-Maddie Manning-Kaylon Williams have a combined 230 career starts in a Sooner uniform.
• In her new role off the bench, Wyatt did not disappoint. The junior finished with eight points and hit a pair of 3-pointers in 20 minutes of action. The junior is averaging 7.5 points per game this season and is shooting .356 from behind the arc.
• Eight OU players are averaging double-figure minutes for the Sooners through 17 games. Derica Wyatt (25.9) Gabbi Ortiz (26.7), Maddie Manning (26.9) and Peyton Little (30.9) are averaging 25-plus minutes per contest.
• A season-high six players made at least one 3-pointer in OU's victory over Texas Tech on Wednesday. 13 of OU's 14 active players scored in the victory over the Lady Raiders.
• OU's 28 made free throws on Jan. 10 versus Kansas State rank as the most by a team in Big 12 play this season. The Sooners are tied with Baylor for the free throws made in a game this season. Baylor finished with 28 makes at the free throw against Michigan State.
• The Sooners registered 15 steals in their road win at TCU on Jan. 6, which is tied for the most steals in a league game this season.
• The Sooners average 31.1 points per game in the paint. This season 511 of 1,207 total points (42.3 percent) have come through the paint, while holding foes to 23.3 points per game in the post. OU also has outscored its opponents by 4.9 points per game off turnovers on the year (18.8-13.9).\
• Oklahoma has made 10 or more treys in a single game five times this season through 17 games. It took the Sooners 26 games last season to accomplish that feat. The Sooners ranked fourth in the Big 12 with 7.4 made 3-pointers per game.
• OU is 12-0 this season when outrebounding its opponent. The Sooners have dominated the boards in home this season with a +10.4 rebounding margin. OU has also held 14 of its 17 opponents to sub-45 percent field goal shooting (11 times in the last 14 games). No opponent has shot 50 percent or better this season. The Sooners have also limited 12 of its 17 foes to sub 33-percent 3-point shooting.
• The Sooners are 205-113 (.645) against Big 12 competition under Sherri Coale.
• Coale will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame on June 11, 2016, in Knoxville, Tenn. Coale is OU's all-time leader in wins (433), leading the Sooners to three Final Fours and 16 straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
• The Sooners return the majority of their production in every statistical category for 2015-16. That includes 81 percent of the team's points and rebounds, along with 85 percent of its assists, 81 percent of its blocks and 78 percent of its steals. OU also brings back 80 percent of its made 3-point field goals and its free throw production. 11 letterwinners return from last season's squad that combined to play 5,377 minutes a year ago.
• The Sooners return home on Wednesday to face No. 25 West Virginia at Lloyd Noble Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT in Norman.
• OU is 4-4 against West Virginia since the Mountaineers joined the Big 12 prior to the 2012-13 season. The Sooners won two of the three meetings between the two teams a year ago.
