NORMAN After the No. 2 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team secured a total of three victories last weekend, senior Keeley Kmieciak and junior McKenzie Wofford claimed spots on the Big 12 weekly honor listing, the conference announced Tuesday.

Kmieciak captured her first career Big 12 Gymnast of the Week honor, while Wofford was named the Event Specialist of the Week for the second time in as many weeks. This marks the fourth time Kmieciak has received a weekly conference recognition (named Newcomer of the Week three times in 2013) and the seventh time Wofford has earned event specialist accolades.

Joining the OU pair this week was West Virginia's Kirah Koshinski, who earned Newcomer of the Week honors.

Kmieciak secured two straight all-around titles last weekend vs. No. 11 California and Texas Woman's in a tri-meet and on the road at No. 16 Arkansas with scores of 39.425 and 39.400, respectively, in wins for the Sooners. Against Cal and TWU, Kmieciak tied for second on beam, tied for third on vault, placed fourth on bars and took fifth on floor. In the final rotation at Arkansas, Kmieciak led off on beam with a season-high 9.9, good for a second-place finish. She also tied for fourth on bars, took fifth on floor and placed sixth on vault on Sunday against the Razorbacks.

The senior, who is competing all-around for the first time since her freshman year, is seventh nationally in the all-around (39.358 average) and is also ranked in the top 25 on two events with a tie for 12th on balance beam (9.867) and 21st on vault (9.858).

Wofford anchored OU's bars lineup this past weekend, posting a 9.925 on Friday and a 9.9 on Sunday to tie for the event crown in both of the meets. The McKinney, Texas, native is ranked first nationally on bars with a season average of 9.925.

The Sooners (3-1) will next compete on Friday when they face Iowa State and Arizona State in the Beauty and the Beast event at Lloyd Noble Center, hosted in conjunction with OU wrestling. The meet is slated for a 6:45 p.m. CT start, and tickets are available for purchase online or by calling the OU Athletics Tickets Office at (405) 325-2424 or toll-free at (800) 456-GoOU.
