NORMAN — University of Oklahoma Women's Basketball Head Coach Sherri Coale announced the Sooners' 12-game 2015-16 non-conference schedule Wednesday, a slate that will feature six games played at Lloyd Noble Center.
The schedule includes contests against four teams that participated in last year's NCAA Tournament: BYU, UALR, Washington and Texas A&M. Three of those four games will be played in the Sooner State.
It's filled with opportunities and challenges, the coaching staff's charge being to chart a course of navigation through it that will best help our team play our best at the most important time of the year.

“Every year when it comes time to release our schedule, media outlets ask for a quote about the schedule and this is what I always really think: it is what you choose to make of it,” said Coale, who is starting her 20th season at OU. “It's filled with opportunities and challenges, the coaching staff's charge being to chart a course of navigation through it that will best help our team play our best at the most important time of the year.”
The Sooners open with an exhibition game against NCAA Division II opponent Southwestern Oklahoma State on Nov. 4 before starting their regular season slate with a three-game homestand. In that stretch, OU will face Winthrop (17-13 last year) on Nov. 13, North Texas (5-24) on Nov. 16 and BYU (23-10) on Nov. 19. BYU is one of four OU opponents who participated in last year's NCAA Tournament.
In their first road game of the season, the Sooners will square off against Bradley (6-24) on Nov. 22 before heading to the Bahamas to compete in the Junkanoo Jam. There they will play Utah (9-21) on Nov. 26 and Boston College (13-17) on Nov. 28.
OU will welcome UALR (29-5) to Norman on Dec. 2 then travel for games against Washington (23-10) on Dec. 6 and Tulsa (18-14) on Dec. 9. The Sooners' final home game of 2015 will be played Dec. 13 against UTSA (16-15).
OU will close its out-of-conference slate Dec. 20 inside Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City as it takes on former Big 12 foe Texas A&M (23-10) in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
