NORMAN — Former University of Oklahoma standout Danielle Robinson has been named a WNBA Western Conference All-Star reserve after being voted to the squad by the league's head coaches. With her selection, Robinson has been chosen to represent the San Antonio Stars during the All-Star contest for the third straight season.

Robinson leads the Stars in assists (4.9) thus far in 2015 and ranks fourth in the WNBA in the same category. She also ranks ninth in the league in free throw percentage, shooting 90.0 percent (51-57) from the line. Overall this season, Robinson is averaging 11.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 31.2 minutes.

During 2014 WNBA All-Star, Robinson scored six points, grabbed three rebounds and added two steals and an assist in 14 minutes as the Western Conference narrowly fell to the East, 124-125.

WNBA All-Star 2015, featuring the Eastern Conference All-Stars against the Western Conference All-Stars at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., will be nationally televised by ABC on Saturday, July 25 at 2:30 p.m. CT.

In selecting the reserves, the 12 WNBA head coaches voted for six players within their own conference: two backcourt players, three frontcourt players and a player from either position.  Coaches were not permitted to vote for players on their own team.

By virtue of winning their respective conference titles last season, Chicago head coach Pokey Chatman will coach the Eastern Conference and Phoenix head coach Sandy Brondello will lead the Western Conference.

Robinson, a two-time All-American who played at OU from 2007-11, helped the Sooners reach the Final Four in back-to-back seasons in 2009 and 2010. She led a senior class responsible for a record number of wins and became just the third player in women's college basketball history to total 2,000 points, 700 assists and 300 steals.
