No. 3 Oklahoma

Head Coach Pete Hughes
Opening Statement: The story of the game was big hits. Credit Oklahoma State, they had some big ones. They were very opportunistic today. They're a solid team. Congratulations to Oklahoma State, but I feel sorry for our guys. We've got a good group of kids who play the game the right way.

On Donnie Walton: That kid is a great player. He's awesome to watch. He certainly plays the game the right way, competes, doesn't try to do too much and works counts. He's just a competitive kid, a coach's kid, who shows up at every phase of his game.

On Corey Copping: I thought he did a great job. For us to extend him four innings was what we had in our head for him with where he is at and his pitch count. He pitched good enough for us to win. Oklahoma State did a great job. Perrin did a great job. I thought Corey did a really good job for us.

On improving in the offseason: I've got nothing on the RPI and scheduling. There are no solutions there to upgrade. Bottom line is that we've got to win more games. Our kids work like crazy now, but we're going to work harder and see where it takes us. The program has a really good team right here that will continue to get better.

OF Taylor Alspaugh
On Jon Perrin: Jon threw a great game. There's not much you can do. We got some guys in scoring position and he made the pitches he had to make. That's baseball.

C Anthony Hermelyn
Like Taylor said, it's just baseball, sometimes it goes you way and sometimes it doesn't. Last night we got runners in scoring position a couple times and won, today was a different story.
